This Saturday, September 12, the first national final of the 2020 season of the so-called Red Bull Batalla de los Gallos, one of the most popular improvised rap competitions both in our country and in other Spanish-speaking nations.

To carry out the meeting, a series of safeguards are being taken with a view to the first date of the final: among them, quarantines and covid-19 tests for the 16 competitors, as well as the implementation of sanitizers and special protectors for the technical team involved.

Due to the situation caused by the new coronavirus, this historical version of the Batalla de los Gallos does not have one of its most characteristic postcards: the tumults of the public reacting energetically to the rhymes and provocations of the MC’s. All this, at least until the world situation improves.

For this reason, the organizers worked on new virtues for the program format, which in turn will respect the traditional Battle model: with a “host” in charge of conducting the competition and a jury at the evaluation table.
