An act of violence was registered on Saturday afternoon in the Quintero Free Fair, when a group of people began to “funne” and lynch a man whom they accused of allegedly raping a minor.

The man was beaten and seriously injured, so SAMU personnel went to the scene.

Given the situation, Carabineros personnel came to the fair to prevent him from being attacked while they waited for the arrival of medical personnel.

Once on the site, those present tried to prevent SAMU professionals from assisting the man, so the police officer had to use tear gas to clear the place.

This can be seen in the following record prior to his departure to the ambulance, where people demanded that he be removed from where he was sheltered.

Then, it is observed when the subject is escorted by police officers, while they threw fruits and other items at him.

The Viña del Mar Quillota Health Service condemned the acts of violence, as the staff arrived at the scene for medical assistance.

Through a statement, they specified that “Fortunately, the SAMU Base officials were not injured, but only material damage was registered to one of our ambulances ”.
