Driver died after colliding with a truck signaling work on Route 5 South | National

A violent accident occurred this morning in the Route 5 in towards Santiago, at the height of Calera de Tango (Kilometer 21).

At that place, around 4:40 a.m., a vehicle collided with a dealership truck that was signaling the completion of cleaning work.

Due to the force of the impact, the mobile was destroyed.

As noted by Captain Fabián Retamal, the driver of the vehicle died at the scene, while his three companions were taken to the Parish Hospital of San Bernardo. One of them is serious, but none are life-threatening.

Meanwhile, no highway worker was injured.

Carabineros SIAT personnel arrived at the scene to investigate how the incident occurred.
