The Cañete Guarantee Court decreed preventive detention for three defendants for the crimes of attempted homicide, robbery with violence and intimidation, illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

The three men were arrested early Thursday in Cañete, after being accused of two frustrated homicides in the Antiquina sector, against people from indigenous communities in the sector.

There were more than 5 months of investigation between the Carabineros and the Cañete Prosecutor’s Office to find the whereabouts of Patricio Collihuanca Sepúlveda (54) and his sons Wilson (30) and Óscar (27).

According to the Guarantee Court, they must serve preventive detention in the Concepción prison for at least 3 months, which was the period given for the investigation.

As explained by the Arauco Prefecture Carabineros Commander, Juan Pablo Ureta, who confirmed that important heavy-caliber weapons were seized, including 3 magazines with 7.62-caliber ammunition as well as a 38-caliber revolver and 3 bulletproof vests. .
