Early this Thursday, a fire affected a vulcanization located on Paicaví avenue with Maipú street, in the heart of Concepción.
Neighbors reported that prior to the emergency a loud explosion and they affirmed that that generated problems in the electrical supply.
In total, Radio Bío Bío confirmed that there were nine fire companies, with about 80 volunteers, those who came to the place to fight the flames.
The emergency left total damage to the commercial premises and also compromised an adjoining house to a lesser extent. However, no structure had people inside.
Relatives of the owner told La Radio that in its 30-year history the company had never suffered a tragedy of this magnitude and commented that the electrical installation was renewed not long ago.
Thus did not rule out intent behind the fire, which left about $ 20 million in losses, both in material and tools.
The fire produced a strong bad smell that was perceived in the neighboring stables and a toxic cloud that could be observed from various points From the capital.

Although it was known in Greater Concepción for operating 24 hours a day, the enclosure ceased all operations at night since the imposition of the curfew under the State of Catastrophe due to the pandemic.
