By 147 votes, the deputies ratified the text of the initiative that was ready to be promulgated as a Law, thus facilitating the transfer from their individual system that operated in the AFPs to the mixed Unemployment Insurance system, accessing the benefits of those who They have an indefinite contract.

“Access to unemployment insurance has been demanded since its creation by private home workers, especially during the health, economic and social crisis that the pandemic has left, where our sector was devastated, losing more than 120 thousand jobs, which which corresponds to 40% of the jobs, and being constantly out of the support of the State ”, said the Coordinator of Organizations of Workers of Private House (Sintracap, Fesintracap, Anecap, Sinducap) in a statement.

With this new law, the employer’s contribution remains at 4.11% per month, of which a percentage (1.11%) will be kept for severance pay, and 3% will go to Unemployment Insurance for both the individual account (2, 2%) and the Solidarity Fund (0.8%). In addition, a period is contemplated for the affected persons to decide whether to transfer the resources or not, from the pension system.
