Six communes of the Metropolitan Region go today to the transition phase

As of 5:00 am on Monday, the communes of Recoleta, San Ramón, La Cisterna, La Granja, San Joaquín and San Miguel from the Metropolitan Region went into transition, thanks to the “exemplary behavior of the citizens,” according to the Minister of Health, Enrique Paris, when making the announcement last Wednesday.

With this measure, there are already 28 municipalities in the RM that are in transition step 2, while nine have already advanced to preparation and 15 are still in quarantine. In any case, the communes in step 2 return to confinement during the weekends.

It should be noted that this is the first step to leave the mandatory quarantine behind, resuming part of daily activities, but with limitations to prevent a hasty opening from generating a new outbreak, restricting the mobility of people to a lesser degree.
