With a view to the next presidential elections in 2021, the Social Green Regionalist Federation today proclaimed Jaime Mulet Martínez as its candidate for the deputy and president of the community.
In an activity carried out electronically, and broadcast on all their social networks, the regionalists gave their reasons and their vote of confidence to the candidate. “For his well-known and permanent defense of the regions”, “because decentralization, nowadays so fond of by the government, has been his banner of struggle not now but forever” and “because he is green, defender of water for the communities and not the mining companies “, were some of the reasons given by the assistants who confirmed the candidacy.
After the proclamation, the now candidate Jaime Mulet, accompanied by his command, in the symbolic Plaza Baquedano, pointed out that “we know that it is a difficult task, but we are making this effort to go to a great legal primary and as appropriate between the parties of the opposition, because this is a candidacy that we put at the service of all the transforming opposition, the one that is available to make profound changes in the country, to defeat the right wing, which today dresses as a social democrat, as before otherwise and as surely in the future it will continue to do so, but when it comes to power it always imposes a heavy hand and deepens the neoliberal model. “
Among the reasons given by Mulet that motivate this candidacy, he stressed that “we want to invite those who truly want to make the profound changes that our Chile needs, for example, we have to think about a green infrastructure, decisively support development but with a circular economy thinking about the territories, in the relationship of people and the territory, in a decentralized way “.
“We have to actively fight for a fairer Chile from the point of view of economic concentration, deconcentrate, distribute the tax burden to the richest families, build those 600 thousand homes that are missing and that are waiting right here in the Metropolitan Region and in the rest of the country, but with the participation of the people, including them, talking with them so that they can build their own community and not imposing one on them. Articulating wills like what the Regionalists did to achieve 10%, and we want to move towards transform the country and make it fairer ”, he concluded.
