“In relation to the cybersecurity incident reported today by BancoEstado, the Association of Banks and Financial Institutions (Abif) points out that the services associated with ATMs, payments through POS (Point of sale) and transfers between institutions are operating normally at the industry level, “they said from the union.

The association added that it is monitoring the situation and that private banks are taking actions to “mitigate” possible impacts.

“The financial services and products in the remaining institutions are fully operational. Additionally, the industry is monitoring and taking the necessary actions to prevent and mitigate the possible impacts associated with this event,” they said from the entity.
