Without pointing directly to a possible candidacy of Jadue to La Moneda, which, incidentally, has the support of the polls, Chahín said he was convinced that “The country does not want candidates that represent polarization, the extremes” and therefore, “the DC is going to have its candidacy”.

Fuad Chahín confirmed today that he will run for office again in the January 2021 internal elections, with the aim of “returning political and electoral preponderance” to the party.

And since the internal elections are going to be before the municipal elections, I believe that this process is incomplete and therefore, after talking with many militants, I have made the decision to reappoint myself to the presidency of the party, to finish that process, to be able to finish the cycle. “
