Santiago Wanderers ratified the increase he had shown last week against Colo Colo and, this Saturday, they beat Curicó Unido 2-0 in a match valid for the ninth day of the National Championship.

The Valparaíso club came out to play the game with great impetus and took advantage of two defensive errors by the Maule Region club at the start to break the balance. A rebound from Paulo Garcés, first, and a poor finish by José Rojas, later, caught Wanderers to go ahead with goals from Matías Fernández and Carlos Rotondi, at three and seven minutes, respectively.

From then on, those of Miguel Ramírez handled the game with criteria. They managed possession and did not make mistakes in the background, minimizing the good offensive scaffolding from Curican.

The game passed without great emotions, although the Maulinos reacted at the end, approaching on the goal of Mauricio Viana, but without luck in the face of the goal. Thus, they move away from the top zone of the classification, stagnating at 16 points, now six away from the leading Catholic University.

The “caturros”, for their part, achieved their second victory in a row and reached ten units on the table, beginning to look further at the bottom of it.
