This saturday at midnight There will be a new time change in Chile, where the country will go from the current winter time to the summer time.

In this way, the entire population in the continental Chilean territory (except in Magallanes) must advance their clocks in 60 minutes. The change will occur at 23:59:59 today, at which time the clocks will change to 1:00 on Sunday. In Rapa Nui and the Salas and Gómez islands, the adjustment will take place at 21:59:59 hours.

In 2018, the Government modified the dates on which the time must be changed in our country. In this way, daylight saving time will govern for seven months, between the first Saturday in September (today) and the first Saturday in April 2021, where the clocks will be delayed by 60 minutes again.

For its part, the Magallanes region will remain unchanged, since in the same decree, it was established that this area of the country will remain permanently in summer time, at least until 2022.

In the case of mobile devices or computers, it will be enough to configure the schedule to the area GMT-3 (or UTC-3), corresponding to daylight saving time.
