The Metropolitan Sex Crimes Brigade of the Investigative Police (PDI) detained this Saturday a 26-year-old subject accused of repeated rapes and threats against at least eight women.
According to the information provided by the police, this man contacted his victims through social networks (Instagram and Tinder especially), after some conversations they came to his home and when they got together He locked them in a room where he threatened them with a firearm or knife to achieve the sexual assault.
This series of crimes was known after one of the victims performed a fun to this subject -who did not occupy his real name on social networks- through Instagram, achieving that more affected by this situation they will begin to tell their story with the detainee.
“The complainant performs a fun on the social network Instagram, and it is through this funa that other victims initially engage, who later create a Gmail account -in a reserved way-, and without knowing each other they begin to tell one by one their stories that have occurred from 2018 to the end of July 2020, “explained the sub-prefect Arturo Pacheco.
Eight affected women were able to link the cases thanks to the stories, which became essential for the investigation, since only one of the women made a complaint against the suspect in the Public Ministry.
