The PDI detained a 25-year-old individual accused of 9 rapes of women whom he met through social networks and whom he later took to their home to sexually abuse them under threat. The Eastern Metropolitan Prosecutor’s Office will formalize it this Saturday and ask for his preventive detention.
According to the investigation carried out by the PDI’s Metropolitan Sex Crimes Brigade, the suspect selected the victims through Instagram and Tinder, and then at home he intimidated them with a firearm, to attack them sexually.
The formalization will take place in the 8th Guarantee Court of Santiago, where the Ñuñoa-Providencia prosecutor, Mitzy Henríquez, will expose the events denounced by nine women from last July, for violations suffered in the eastern sector of the capital, all with the same modus operandi
“In July of this year, a complaint came to the Flagrancia Prosecutor’s Office of the East area of a woman who said that she had been sexually assaulted by a subject she had met through social networks, and that she had been taken to the house of this subject where she would have the event occurred, “said the prosecutor.
