Carabineros arrested 48 people of different nationalities who were participating in an electronic party in the commune of Santiago last night at curfew. Among those arrested is the organizer of the event, who seized alcohol, drugs and cash, proceeds from the sale of tickets.
As reported by Major Cristián Mediavilla, from the Fourth Police Station in Santiago, the clandestine party was exposed in a raid carried out at 1048 Manuel Antonio Tocornal street, with prior court authorization, due to constant complaints from neighbors about parties and sale of alcohol and drugs
“Of the 48 detainees, 20 have a criminal record for robbery, theft, drug trafficking and serious injuries. Within the investigations it was established that this would correspond to a production company that organizes electronic parties and that charged at least 15,000 pesos for membership” he added.
The police seized ecstasy, crack and marijuana, For this reason, the detainees will be formalized by the Drug Law, in addition to a violation of article 318 of the Penal Code for not respecting the curfew or maintaining safeguards to avoid infections. The case was handled by the North Central Metropolitan Prosecutor’s Office.
