“We do not believe that here in our Biobío Region specifically the quarantined communes that it is prudent to relax the measures and apply the ‘Fondéate en tu casa’ program and I especially ask our Minister Enrique Paris and our President Sebastián Piñera to reconsider that action to be able to have a calm September 18 and that does not generate consequences that we have to regret in health matters “, he added.
From the municipal world, the mayor of Talcahuano, Henry Campos, also came out in support of Giacaman. “Today that you never have to support the regional authorities. The mayor UDI went further and pointed out that what happened with the controversial plan “reflects an exacerbated centralism in the decisions since unfortunately they do not consider the particular conditions that are occurring in the 7 quarantined communes of our region.”
