The family of Luis Sosa began his ordeal on January 10, 2019. That day the 77-year-old man disappeared from his home in Río Negro, Argentina.

The skeletal remains found in a garbage dump located north of the city of Roca, Río Negro, in mid-August, were analyzed by the Regional Forensic Genetics Laboratory, as reported by the Public Prosecutor’s Office through a press release. The DNA tests to identify the body lasted more than two months and were compared with the genetic information of eight family groups of the disappeared in the area.
