The Minister of Finance, Ignacio Briones, referred this Thursday to certain tax “privileges” that truckers enjoy and announced that he hopes that it will be analyzed.
“(They have) a privileged tax treatment and a privilege always has to be discussed”, said in an interview with Radio Concert.
In detail, he alluded to the reimbursement of 80% that said union receives from the specific diesel tax.
The Secretary of State committed a “review” of these tax exemptions said that hope they are open to that dialogue.
“As a country, it is a discussion that we have to give and it is not an easy discussion,” he told the aforementioned station.
After almost a week out of work, on Wednesday the Government and the truckers reached an agreement, although there are still points to resolve.
According to the Government document, an investment of $ 5,600 million in police infrastructure for the southern macrozone can be highlighted, plus an extreme urgency to the bill that typifies the theft of wood.
Another point included in the agreement was the reparation to victims of acts of violence in the south central area of the country, where the Executive proposed to grant thanks pensions to those affected and study scholarships to their children.
