The Valparaíso Probation Commission revoked the benefit granted in 2016 to Hugo Bustamante Pérez, charged by the femicide with rape and illegal burial of the minor Ámbar Cornejo in Villa Alemana, and who was previously serving a sentence for another double homicide.
The entity took the resolution based on the information provided by the Support Center for Social Integration, which revealed that Bustamante Pérez did not comply with the established conditions in your individual intervention plan by presenting two unjustified absences to the signature check.
Likewise, it was considered that Bustamante Pérez entered the Valparaíso Penitentiary Compliance Center on August 7, 2020 as a defendant for the crimes of femicide with rape and illegal burial, a circumstance that prevents him from presenting himself to the control of signatures from that date because he is subject to said precautionary measure.
“The foregoing accounts for the impossibility therefore of continuing with his probation work plan, derived from a situation established in article 140 of the Criminal Procedure Code, decreed by the Court in question “, adds the resolution.
Amber’s funeral
Meanwhile, this Wednesday the funeral of Ámbar Cornejo will be held, after almost a month of her discovery in the courtyard of her mother’s house in the Villa Alemana commune.
