Metropolitan Cybercrime Brigade of the PDI detained five man for the crime of spreading and storing child pornography. One of them is elementary school teachers in Curacaví.
The police procedure was developed in Melipilla, Nuñoa, Maipú and Las Condes, where this five man, between 42 and 56 years old, and professionals who had under his belt more than 900 videos and 1,586 photographs of child sexual abuse material.
The arrests are part of the proceedings conducted by the North Central Prosecutor’s Office after receiving a complaint.
It was also reported that One of the detainees worked for five years, until the end of 2019, in a hospital with children with cancer, and the other currently works as a teacher in a school in Curacaví.
Subprefect Luis Orellana, Head of the Metropolitan Cybercrime Investigative Brigade, explained that the rest corresponds to an engineer, administrators and a psychologist. “Three of them are directly related to children, in the case that one of them lived with his partner and a minor ”.
In the case of the teacher, he assured that two years ago he had been reported for sexual abuse against a student.
The prosecutor Carolina Suazo indicated that “it was established that the accused, in addition to repeatedly disseminate material containing child pornography, they had stored the same material ”.
With these antecedents, the hearing to control the detention and formalization of said crimes was held, where the court of guarantee decreed the precautionary measures prohibiting leaving the country, signing every two weeks and the prohibition of approaching minors by any means.
