The health authority confirmed this Tuesday three deceased people and another 60 cases of Covid-19 in the Coquimbo region, in a new daily balance.
The deaths are all from Coquimbo, a commune currently in quarantine and which concentrates the highest figures of active infections to date (512).
The total number of deaths thus reaches 139 since the start of the health emergency in the area.
Case report
The newly detected patients correspond to the communes of Ovalle (17), La Serena (16), Coquimbo (16), Los Vilos (04), Punitaqui (03), Vicuña (02) and Illapel (02).
The figures represent a drop compared to the reports of previous days and place the total accumulated cases in the area above 10,000.
In detail, There are 10,011 cases of coronavirus that have been detected since the beginning of the emergency, of which 1,253 remain active To the date.
As of this Tuesday, 146 covid patients hospitalized in areas of the area are reported, 38 of them serious and connected to mechanical ventilation.
