The Ministry of Health reported 1,415 new cases and another 32 deaths from coronavirus nationwide on Tuesday, according to the balance issued through the Government website.

According to the breakdown, the Metropolitan region again led the count with 424. Further behind it was followed by Valparaíso (171), while the Bío Bío reduced its cases (155) and positioned itself as the third area of ​​the country with the most daily infections.

Magallanes (113), meanwhile, ranked fourth, still unable to lower the threshold of one hundred cases.

With this, the total number of people who have contracted the virus nationwide since the beginning of the pandemic reaches 413,145.

Deaths and patients

Regarding deaths, according to the information provided by the Department of Health Statistics and Information (DEIS), in the last 24 hours there were 32 deaths.

Thus, deaths (with positive PCR) rise to 11,321 in the country.

According to the information issued from the Minsal, 124 patients are in critical health, while 724 are connected to mechanical ventilation.

With 26,326 PCR tests performed in 24 hours (cut off until 9:00 PM yesterday), the positivity rate remained at 5.37%.
