The Ministry of Economy provided details of what will be the reopening of restaurants in the communes that are in the stage of Preparation.

The measure has been celebrated by mayors of capital communes that will advance to this phase this Wednesday, as Providencia, Ñuñoa and Las Condes. This is because they have some of the most important gastronomic centers of the capital and that have been hit hard by the pandemic.

Minister Lucas Palacios reported that restaurants will be able to attend in open places, without a roof or with less than 50% of its perimeter with walls, this to ensure air circulation.

In this way, gastronomic venues will be able to put their tables on the sidewalks in order to restart your activities.

In addition, it must be maintained a distance of 2 meters per table and they will be able to take care of herons that do not live in quarantined areas.

Palacios assured that this measure, which was not initially considered for Preparation, was taken because “we are observing that the behavior of citizens has been consistent with the development of the pandemic. We are seeing responsibility“.

Along with this, he announced that in the Initial Opening It was decided to increase the capacity inside the premises from 25% to 50%.

Providence

Palacios’ announcement was made at the Galindo restaurant, Bellavista neighborhood of Providencia. Therefore, Mayor Evelyn Matthei participated in the activity.

The communal chief announced that several streets will be closed to facilitate public service.

For example, he pointed out that the eastern runway of Pedro de Valdivia between Andrés Bello and Providencia; streets Constitución, Dardignac and Antonia López de Bello in the Bellavista neighborhood; the eastern track of Manuel Montt; Orrego Luco and a part of avenue Italia.

Along with this, he indicated that some closings will be from Monday to Sunday and others Friday to Sunday.
