The Spanish central Víctor Ruiz has become this Monday the third reinforcement of Real Betis, a team of Chileans Claudio Bravo and Manuel Pellegrini, where he arrives free after having terminated his contract with Turkish Besiktas, where he has played this last season.
The defender is the third signing of the Verdiblanco team, after Martín Montoya and Claudio Bravo, who was confirmed this past Sunday. The arrival of Víctor Ruiz occurs for a season, as reported by the Andalusian team in a statement.
Víctor Ruiz, 31, trained in the RCD Espanyol quarry and made his debut with the first parakeet team in 2009. In January 2011 he was transferred to Napoli and a few months later he was signed by Valencia, a club in which he spent three seasons . In the summer of 2014, he joined Villarreal, settling behind the team during the five seasons he played at El Madrigal until his signing for Besiktas.
At the national team level, the new Real Betis player has been international with Spain in the under-17, under-19 and under-21 categories. In 2011 he was proclaimed European Under-21 champion with the Spanish team. In total, Víctor Ruiz has played 353 games in the elite, in which he has scored eight goals and distributed eight assists.
