The guild raised a 25% adjustment, but for the Executive it is “impossible” that percentage in times of crisis.

Of course, both parties agreed to analyze counterproposals and continue with the dialogues about it in the following hours.

The Minister of Finance, Ignacio Briones, -on behalf of the Government-, valued the space and the conversations.

“We agreed on one thing. That a possible minimum wage adjustment has to take charge of maintaining the purchasing power of workers for the coming months “he commented.

The proposal by the CUT was a readjustment of 25% ($ 80,000), which the Secretary of State described as a “legitimate idea.”

However, he was emphatic in indicating that a readjustment of such magnitude in times of crisis “it is impossible”.
