Cadem: Piñera’s management approval falls to 18%

This Sunday a new edition of the Plaza Pública Cadem survey, the barometer of Chilean politics, was released.

Regarding presidential approval, 18% approve (2 percentage points less) and 72% (1 percentage point more) disapprove of Sebastián Piñera’s management.

It is not the only thing. The attributes of the president also have a downward trend, especially “ability to solve problems” with 29% (9 points less in two months). Although the attribute that generates the least adhesion is “Fulfills what it promises”, with 20%.

Regarding the constitutional plebiscite in October, 62% declare that they are totally determined to vote. This represents 28 points less than in March.

In turn, 47% of the universe of people surveyed prefers that the plebiscite be held on October 25, although 45% are still to postpone it.

Regarding the contents of a new Constitution, 93% agree that the rights to health and education are guaranteed by the Magna Carta; 85% that the property right is recognized; 72% for a political system where power is more shared between the President and Congress, and 57% for which voting is mandatory.
