ISP instructs withdrawal of contraceptive pills due to wrong disposition of placebos and active tablets: Measure does not affect their distribution in pharmacies

The Institute of Public Health issued a health alert for the recall of birth control pills Anulette CD Coated Tablets, ISP Registration N ° F-11458, owned by Laboratorios Silesia SA This corresponds to blister pack with 28 tablets of the B20034A series, with expiration date 01/2022.

As indicated in the alert, this is because detected packages with wrong disposition of some tablets – i.e. placebos in the active ingredient tablet location and vice versa – or lack of these.

In this line, today the ISP issued another statement with more details in this regard, indicating that the recall of this pharmaceutical product “It does not affect its distribution in pharmacies”. This, given that the entire batch affected the measure corresponds to clinical presentation.

“It should be noted that the quality notification was made to the ISP by the Cesfam Stone of the Eagle, dependent on La Araucanía Health Service, where 6 blisters with quality failures were detected ”, they indicate in the statement.

As indicated, the samples were received by the ISP and to date they have not received new additional notifications in this regard, either of missing tablets or wrong disposal of these.
