The Minister of the Interior, Víctor Pérez, assured that “violence and the transgression of laws are not on our roads” but are “in those who burn houses and shoot at working people, shoot at 9-year-old girls and shoot at families “.

“He is in intimidation of workers,” he reiterated.

Pérez said that is why the Government wants to resolve and solve, in the shortest time possible, the mobilization of some truckers unions to dedicate themselves entirely to fighting and confronting “the terror” that wants to install in Chile and in some regions.

“We Chileans want to live in peace and the government is going to work hard to make it a reality,” he said.

Yesterday, the Public Ministry announced that it will open criminal investigations in eight regions “for obstruction of the free movement of people and vehicles” within the framework of the paralysis carried out by some unions.

The Prosecutor’s Office will investigate these behaviors under the so-called “Anti-Barrier Law”.
