The Ministry of Health (Minsal) made a new report on the progress of the covid-19 pandemic, informing that in the last 24 hours there were 49 deaths, according to figures from the Department of Statistics and Information (DEIS), so the Total deaths reached 11,181 people.
In addition, 2,033 new infections were recorded on the last day, the highest figure in the last 12 days. Of the new cases, 1,330 had symptoms.
Since March, 408,009 people have been infected with Covid-19, of which 381,183 have recovered. Meanwhile, the active cases, potentially contagious, are 15,645.
On the other hand, there are 959 hospitalized patients in intensive care units, of which 708 are on mechanical ventilation and 131 are in critical condition. 4
In addition, there are 561 mechanical fans available.
In turn, yesterday 32,237 PCR tests were carried out – a new record -, reaching a total of 2,365,753.
Regarding the national positivity, it reached 6.31%.
