The senator and president of the UDI, Jacqueline Van Rysselberghe, referred to the request made by the Las Condes Prosecutor’s Office, who seek a sentence of 300 days in prison against her son Tomás Pavez, for violation of article 318.
In this regard, he criticized the Public Ministry for carrying out an “illegal leak” when confirming said request.
He criticized that the Prosecutor’s Office “pass on to the press before the parties” and stated that “it is surprising that a prosecutor asks for 300 days in prison for a boy who, being healthy, asks for a permit at the Virtual Police Station, which gives him the Permit, they control it on the way, it submits to the control without putting up any difficulties, and in said control they inform you that the permission you requested is wrong ”.
“Indeed he made a mistake, nobody is asking that he not be sanctioned, but asking for 300 days in prison for that seems absolutely excessive” he insisted.
“Rather, this seems a judicial cruelty, it seems a political persecution, it seems that the prosecution is once again acting with its left hand,” he accused, stating that “it seems that here there is a clear political bias, once again, by the Prosecutor’s Office. “
