The Minister of National Assets, Julio Isamit, announced today that, for the third consecutive year, Bienes Nacionales will carry out the return of $ 162 million of surpluses to 912 older adults from all over Chile who processed their domain titles to own their properties.
“This is not a bonus, much less a gift. It is money that belongs to those who paid for their domain title procedures and that, thanks to the good management of the Ministry, less was spent on them. Therefore, it is appropriate to return to people that difference between what they paid and what it really cost to carry out the process, ”said Minister Isamit.
The Secretary of State reported that this measure is part of the Plan for the Return of Surplus National Assets, whose total amount for 2020 is $ 307,806,489, which will be returned to 1,789 people throughout the country, being prioritized in this first stage, older adults who have already paid 100% of the operational expenses of their domain title processing.

“We are happy, because this is the sign of a modern, agile and increasingly transparent state. We know that obtaining the domain title is essential to improve the quality of life of people, we are sure that this return will be of great help to many of them, “added the Secretary of State.
The form of payment of these surpluses will be by electronic transfer to the Rut Account and, for those who do not have this form of payment enabled, a Vale Vista will be issued in the State Bank for their withdrawal in the next 60 days.
Compared to previous years, this time the number of beneficiaries and amounts returned have increased. This responds to the improvement of efforts in agreements that the Ministry of National Assets carries out with other public organizations and that provide resources for the sanitation process of those most vulnerable sectors.
