The Chilean singer Américo was arrested after starring in a traffic accident this Tuesday night in Florida, commune where a total quarantine resides and governs due to the coronavirus pandemic.
According to the first antecedents, the event was registered before the start of the curfew, which, in the framework of the state of emergency due to catastrophe, governs from 10:00 pm to 05:00 am the following day throughout the territory.
Captain Andrea Viveros, round officer of Carabineros de la Prefectura Santiago Cordillera, explained that the artist was driving his Audi “by María Angélica street to the east and upon reaching the Olga Salas street, for causes under investigation, he lost control of the car, hitting a streetlight pole and the perimeter wall of a private house. “
Américo, whose real name is Domingo Vega Urzúa, was detained by personnel from the 61st Police Station of La Florida and, according to his lawyer, he is in good health, as are the people who traveled with him.
“The judicial situation of our client is being evaluated and analyzed”said the lawyer Rodrigo Toledo, in a brief statement to the press on the outskirts of the police station where the singer was taken after the accident.
“All people are fine, there are no affected in this case,” he said.
By order of the Prosecutor’s Office, Americo was warned, that is to say, released and waiting to be summoned by Justice.
