This same situation was experienced a few days ago with Bolivian citizens, after which the Foreign Ministry, with the support of the municipalities of Providencia and Las Condes, was able to send them by bus to Iquique to quarantine for 14 days and then continue their journey to their country.
The Undersecretary of Public Health, Paula Daza, announced during the daily balance that the Government determined to extend for another seven days the quarantines announced in six communes in the country.
As detailed by the health authority, the measure will take effect from 22:00 on Tuesday and it will last for at least seven more days.
Daza maintained that the six communes indicated are:
- Santiago
- Chilicure
- Recoleta
- Cerrillos
- In the urban radius of Antofagasta
- Mussels
In this way, people who need to move around these communes must apply for a permit through the police station in Carabineros.
In addition, the undersecretary called on the population to respect the measures to prevent the number of infections from increasing.
