As detailed by the health authority, the measure will take effect from 22:00 on Tuesday and it will last for at least seven more days.
Daza maintained that the six communes indicated are:
- Santiago
- Chilicure
- Recoleta
- Cerrillos
- In the urban radius of Antofagasta
- Mussels
In this way, people who need to move around these communes must apply for a permit through the police station in Carabineros.
In addition, the undersecretary called on the population to respect the measures to prevent the number of infections from increasing.

Likewise, the undersecretary of Assistance Networks, Arturo Zúñiga, reported that the 12 communes whose quarantines started on May 8 will be reevaluated on May 13 to find out if they continue in confinement.
