Moving fans
Zúñiga also confirmed the transfer of six mechanical fans from the La Araucanía region, precisely the Temuco Regional Hospital, until the Salvador de Providencia Hospital.
The authority emphasized the centralized organization to combat the coronavirus and detailed that in this context the transfer was decided. He added that yesterday they were sent fans from Bío Bío and that other regions may also participate in these transfers if their occupation of intensive care exchanges is low.
Regarding the case of the La Araucanía region, he indicated that the transfer of fans was decided before a decrease in the number of hospitalized, which forced the area to double its capacity in the face of the first wave of infections.
Meanwhile, regarding the situation of high number of infections in the capital, Zúñiga stated that there is the possibility of transfer patients to the Valparaíso and O’Higgins regions in case of reaching the limit of intensive care beds.
