Chile registered a total of 28 thousand 677 cases of total infections of Covid-19 since the start of the pandemic in the country, on March 3, according to the official report delivered by the Ministry of Health.
Of that total of cases, 70.51, that is, 20 thousand 353 correspond to the Metropolitan Region, followed very far by The Araucanía, with 1,454, representing 5.04 percent nationally.
The Undersecretary of Assistance Networks, Arturo Zúñiga, specified that there was an increase in 1,647 cases on the last day, based on 12 thousand 780 tests made before 9:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Of the infections registered on the last day, 1,396 occurred in the capital (84.76 percent), followed by the Valparaíso Region, with 55 (3.34 percent).
Of these cases, 1,406 correspond to a patient with symptoms of coronavirus, while 241 are asymptomatic.
The deceased, while, amount to 312 people throughout the country, with eight deaths recorded in the last 24 hours, of which one person is from Coquimbo, one in Valparaíso, three are from the Metropolitan Region, one in La Araucanía and two in Magallanes.

- Metropolitan: 20,353 cases, 166 deaths
- O’Higgins: 195 cases, three deceased
- Maule: 441 cases, 14 deceased
- Ñuble: 812, 18 deceased
- Biobío: 899 cases, eight deaths
- Araucanía: 1,454 cases, 37 deaths
- Los Ríos: 206 cases, five deceased
- Los Lagos: 575 cases, 10 deaths
- Aysén: 8 cases, without deaths
- Magellan: 893 cases, 13 deaths
