After President Sebastián Piñera presented the Emergency Family Income to flatten the economic effects of the recession due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Politicians, economists and social actors demanded that the government modify the measure.
According to the 169 signatories to the letter, the Executive’s proposal is “Completely insufficient”, so despite the fact that the Chamber of Deputies and Deputies generally approved the bill, opposition lawmakers rejected the mechanism that determines who will receive the benefit and the amounts.

“There is the string and there is going to be a bigger problem. So, it irritates me that unity is called, when this sector has been permanently supporting, especially something that seems reasonable to us ”, he concluded.
