Brazil exceeds 40 thousand cases of coronavirus amid protests against containment measures

This monday brazil recorded a new record for positive cases of coronavirus after reaching a total of 40,581 patients with Covid-19, amid a series of protests against containment measures that have been applied in some regions of the country.

According to the Brazilian Ministry of Health, the number of deaths increased to 2.575 after they reported 133 new deaths in the last 24 hourspandemic product.

Sunday president Jair bolsonaro, participated in a demonstration near the army headquarters in Brasilia against measures to restrict detention in the country and urged participants to request the intervention of the armed forces so that Congress and the Senate could not issue quarantine orders in the states from Brazil.

“You must fight for your country. Count on the fact that your president will do everything necessary so that we can support democracy and guarantee what is most sacred to us, namely our freedom, ”the president said in a short speech.

On this day, about 600 people of all ages gathered in protest against the isolation measures that were introduced in some cities, such as Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

Several assistants and the head of state himself were not masked during the demonstration.
