Apple finally released the latest version of its 2020 iPhone SE, a smaller and more affordable iPhone that you can already buy right now. The new iPhone SE has several features found in iPhone 11 Prowhich costs more than double, including the A13 processor and wireless charging. But the SE comes with a single camera on the back. So how will this lens compare with all three on the iPhone 11 Pro?
The unique SE camera is very similar to the standard zoom lens of the iPhone 11 Pro. They have a resolution of 12 megapixels, a wide aperture of f1.8 to let in a lot of light, six-element lenses, optical image stabilization (OIS) and sapphire crystal. These are additional cameras that Apple donated to lower the cost.
The iPḧone SE lacks a 2x telephoto lens, which can be found on many of the latest iPhone models, as well as a wide-angle mode that captures a much larger scene in front of you than a standard zoom lens can achieve. If you really like your photo and you like the idea of taking pictures of these ultra-wide cityscapes, the new iPhone SE may not be the best phone for you, but don’t think that it won’t be able to take some great photos.
The standard zoom lens of the iPhone 11 Pro takes some of the best photos you can get on your phone. I even thought it was good enough to replace my DSLR camera while traveling to Scotland. Although we have not yet seen exactly how the camera on the new iPhone SE is compared, it still shares the 11 Pro software processing, kindly provided by this A13 chip.
It has a portrait mode (the depth effect is created by software, not a zoom lens), which also allows you to use various lighting modes, such as stage and contour lighting. It also has the same enhanced HDR as the 11 Pro, which does an amazing job capturing details in the brightest and darkest areas of the scene.
You are not going to get awesome you have night mode with the iPhone 11 ProBut you can still shoot 63-megapixel panoramas, record video at a speed of 60 frames per second 4K and control slow-motion video at a speed of 240 frames per second at a resolution of 1080p.
While the new iPhone SE may not have the creative abilities of multiple 11 Pro lenses, its one camera should be able to take some amazing photos that will suit those of you who are most interested in taking these fun Holidays that take too much time getting too artistic
We will put both cameras side by side as soon as possible, and also go through the iPhone SE through all our tests in our full review. In the meantime, look at this comparison to see how both phones look at each other in terms of photographic abilities.
