President Pinier provides a new balance due to coronavirus: the number of cases in the country increases to 7213

This Sunday a new national balance was set for the coronavirus (Covid-19). This is in the context of the visit. President Sebastian Pinhera – together with the Minister of Health Jaime Manalich and the Deputy Minister of Health Arturo Zuniga, to the new hospital Félix Bulnes, which will be launched in advance due to a health emergency.

In this case, the president reported that the number of infections was 7,213 reporting 286 new confirmed cases in the last 24 hours.

On the other hand, the head of state said that by now 2059 people have recovered. “Thus, the number of infected people reaches 4994“By this I mean that as soon as new patients join, they also recover, because they are completing the quarantine period,” he said.

He also said that 387 people are in intensive care units, 318 of them use mechanical fans.

Regarding this issue, Pinhera stated that “Our plan is to reach 3315 mechanical fans, it is not easy. All over the world there is a real war for fans of mechanics. Fortunately, Chile acted early and Today we have 553 mechanical fans to deliver them where they are needed. ”

In addition, he explained that with regard to the ability of hospitals to withstand a pandemic, the number of beds was also increased at the national level. Thus, he explained that before the distribution of Covid-19, there were 38,000 beds. However, in recent months their number has increased to 43,000.

On the other hand, regarding the speedy opening of the hospital center, the head of state noted that “we know that not everything is ready and perfect, but we must be aware that this pandemic requires a very quick response. For this reason, this hospital will be a huge contribution that Chile can face and overcome the coronavirus pandemic. ”
