Mario Salas still cannot travel and Alianza Lima prepares an emergency plan

Mario Salas is still in Chile. In Peru, the borders are closed due to the coronavirus and for that reason the Commander cannot yet travel to assume the technical direction of Alianza Lima, the club that trusted his services after his traumatic departure from Colo Colo. The agreement remains firm, but, waiting for the Chilean coach to fully assume his duties, the club is preparing an emergency plan.

Salas works remotely. Through the Internet and telephone, he coordinates with the club’s sports director, Víctor Marulanda. That situation will continue until he can travel. If that period does not coincide with the date on which training can be restarted, Daniel Ahmed, head of Planning and Sports Development of the institution, will remain in charge of the campus.

“It is all very uncertain until July. Salas is in Santiago doing all the coordination with the team and the different areas of the online club. The deal is in no danger at all. Daniel is in charge of all the planning and sports development of the club and is in coordination with the teacher Salas every day ”, explains the Alliance manager Fernando Farah.

If it occurs, Ahmed’s work in the first team will be limited. “If (Salas) could not be in person, Daniel can be in charge of the first training sessions, when they begin, but he cannot stay there because the integral project is the most important thing for the club,” says Farah.
