The seremi de Salud of the Metropolitan Region, Paula Labra, closed this Sunday to three multi-store premises that operated in Santiago Centro despite being in an area that has been in quarantine for more than a month.

Hites and Tricot are the brands of the closed stores, in which it was established that they did not respect the minimum measures of prevention of contagions, such as the social distance between employees.

“So it doesn’t happen again”

Labra pointed out that “we received the information that this Hites store (from calle calle) was working, which is a huge irresponsibility of the store owners and also of the people who come to a quarantined commune to buy from this store” .

“We have come to verify that this was happening and to take measures so that this does not happen again,” the authority concluded.

According to reports from Hites, “the Hites department store is not open in mandatory quarantine areas. Only its financial business operated by its investments and cards subsidiary is the one that opens ”.
