More than a year and a half is the time it took Google to make compatible Android TV with the function that allows us to create a group of speakers. From now on you can listen to the same music in all speakers and televisions with Chromecast built-in from your home, it is no longer necessary to have a Chromecast connected to the TV.
Google is updating the component Chromecast built-in of all televisions and multimedia centers with Android TV. If your device is not yet compatible you can force the update by registering for the test program through the Play Store. After updating you will have to restart the TV or set-top box for the changes to take effect.
So you can add your Android TV to a group of speakers
Once your Android TV is updated, you just have to take your mobile and open the application Google Home. Click on the icon ‘+’ and then in the option Create speaker group. There we select the devices We want them to sound at the same time in our house. Click on Next, give the speaker group a name and accept.
Now when the Google Assistant tells you that we want to listen to music in that group of speakers, the sound will be heard in the selected speakers and televisions. Playback and volume will be controlled as if it were a single device.
