The last epidemiological report delivered by the Minsal showed that eight communes in the Metropolitan Region exceed 400 cases of infection with Covid-19.
In the commune of Santiago cases increased by 280, reaching a total number of 980 infections, with which it became the one with the highest number of infected in the country; High Bridge it went from 764 to 889 reported cases; Maipú records a total of 480 cases; Saint Bernard, 435 cases; Independence, 431 cases; Florida, 428 cases; Chilicure, 423 cases; and The Counts, records a total of 409 cases.
At the national level, Punta Arenas (with 685 cases) it surpassed Temuco (with 673 cases) in the ranking, while other communes with a high contagion rate are Chillán, with 414 cases; Antofagasta, with 378 cases; Osorno, with 306 cases; and Arica, with 297 cases.
At the active case level, 12 of the 14 communes with more than 100 people in this condition belong to the Metropolitan Region, while Arica (with 105 cases) and Antofagasta (with 158 cases) are the exception to the rule.
