The Ministry of Women and Gender Equity launched this Tuesday a WhatsApp number exclusively so that women victims of abuse can ask for help without alerting their abuser.
The measure is part of a series of measures that the Government has taken in response to the increase in domestic violence resulting from the quarantines established by the pandemic that affects the country.
The service that works through a mobile number, it will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and claims to be silent and confidential.
The ministry, through its social networks, reported the measure and urged the women to save the number on their cell phones under a name that only they know.

The number is +569 9700 7000 and has been in operation since Tuesday.
