Media in Brazil released a story that has generated a lot of outrage. This is related to False inoculation of a 94-year-old woman, who received a needle stick from a syringe without vaccine. The situation is being investigated.
Who made this known was a journalist named Bruno Rocha da Fonseca through their social networks. The case was also replicated by the O’Globo media.
“This is disgusting. A moment that was supposed to be of celebration and relief, now it will be synonymous with attention and distrust, ”the communicator wrote on his Instagram account.
According to the aforementioned media, that action took place in the city of Petrópolis last Friday, during a day that was exclusively for people who were over 90 years old.
However, it was also detailed that actions of this type occurred in other cities in the state of Rio de Janeiro, the most populated in the country.
In the video, also published on Twitter, it is observed that at first the nurse had problems with the syringe, so a relative of the woman advises her to change it better, a situation to which she agrees.
After that, and when seeing the second inoculation instrument, it is evident that it does not contain any vaccine liquid, so the person simply did not receive the corresponding dose.
Due to the above, and all the criticism that existed on social networks, the Petrópolis Health Department took over the matter and confirmed that the 94-year-old woman was vaccinated a day later.
Likewise, it was also reported that the health official who carried out the false vaccination was separated from her position, pending an investigation.
It should be noted that Brazil is the country hardest hit by the pandemic in South America. To date, that nation has 10 million total cases and 246,000 deaths attributed to coronavirus.
