La Serena defeated Coquimbo Unido 1-0 and achieved its sixth consecutive victory, equaling his best streak in the history of the First Division National Tournaments.

Only twice in history have garnets linked six festivities. The first was in the great campaign of 1958, when they won their first six games, in their debut in the highest category of Chilean football, and finished in third place.

The second was in the Clausura 2009, when the papaya cast reached the semifinals, where he stayed on the road before the champion Colo Colo. With the technical direction of Victor Hugo Castañeda, they won six matches in a row, between dates 12 and 17.
