The latest poll Activa Research Citizen Pulse, corresponding to the second half of September, revealed that 34.1% of Chileans approve of eliminating the curfew in the country.

According to the survey, when asked, ‘Considering that there are a large number of communes that have already left the quarantine phase and are in the transition and preparation stage, how much do you agree or disagree with the elimination of the curfew that still applies in the country? ‘, 34.1% said they “strongly agree” or “agree” with the measure, while 48% said they were “strongly disagree” or “disagree”, preferring to maintain the restriction.

Likewise, 17.9% preferred the option not to be “neither agree nor disagree”.

Remember that the Government plans to delay the start of the curfew to reactivate economic measures, especially in the gastronomic sector.

As indicated by the Minister of Economy, Lucas Palacios, starting the traffic restriction later could “allow new jobs to continue to be incorporated into economic activity”, mainly in the gastronomic area.

“It is very important for them (the gastronomic sector) that it be delayed and it is something that we are evaluating, there is still no decision made”, he stressed.

Although at first it was in force from 10:00 p.m., and passed through an overtaking at 9:00 p.m. for National Holidays, currently it begins at 11:00 p.m. and extends until 5:00 a.m. the next day.
