The PDI detained 24 people after a birthday that lasted all night in Punta Arenas, an area of the country where the most critical situation of contagion of COVID-19.
According to Subprefect Jaime Rossel, head of the Criminal Investigation Brigade (Bicrim) of Punta Arenas, the detectives went to a house located in Quillota with Maipú after receiving complaints at 8:00 am today.
Upon admission, they detected the a birthday party where 24 people participated, all migrants of various nationalities.
Therefore, all of them were arrested, but 19 were warned and only 5 went to detention control to later be formalized for endangering public health.
Rossel explained that among them are the birthday organizer and four repeat offenders for violating health measures.
Finally, it was reported that none of the participants had covid-19 nor were they in close contact quarantine.
