Hualqui will join the communes of Penco and Tomé, which entered their tenth day with this measure. And to Concepción, Talcahuano, Hualpén and Chiguayante, which began this period of restriction last Friday.

At the same time, the seremi of Health in Bío Bío, Héctor Muñoz, reported that so far, three covid patients have been sent to Santiago during the last days.

New cases

The region added 225 cases of coronavirus, reaching a total of 17,216, of which 2,342 are still active.

Talcahuano led the numbers of new positives due to the pandemic with 35, Concepción added 33, Coronel 21 and Hualpén 17.
